Position: Engineering Administrator
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Part Time – 25 hours per week
Shift: Flexible Days (to be agreed)
Location: Telford
We are currently looking for an Engineering Administrator to join our client’s dedicated engineering team within a busy bus company operation. This role will support the day-to-day administration of the engineering function, ensuring all maintenance records, compliance documentation, and workshop processes are accurately maintained and efficiently managed.
Engineering Administrator Required Qualifications:
Previous administration experience within an engineering, fleet, transport, automotive, or similar environment
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Experience using fleet maintenance or workshop management systems would be advantageous
Understanding of vehicle compliance and maintenance documentation is desirable
Engineering Administrator Main Duties:
Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records for the bus fleet
Process job cards, defect reports, and inspection sheets in a timely and accurate manner
Schedule and track vehicle servicing, MOTs, safety inspections, and compliance checks
Update fleet management systems with maintenance and repair information
Assist with ordering parts and maintaining stock and inventory records where required
Produce reports and KPI data for engineering and operational management
Liaise with workshop staff, suppliers, and operational teams to ensure fleet availability and compliance
Support the Engineering Manager with general administrative duties and document control
