Warehouse Operative
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
The Role
We are seeking a flexible and reliable Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join a busy warehousing operation in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is adaptable and open to working across multiple sites, with a clear pathway to a full-time role based in one of their sites over the next 1-2 years.
Initially, the position will involve working across two sites in Suffolk.
Once fully trained, the successful candidate will be trusted to work both as part of a team and independently, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring operations run smoothly.
Over time, the role will transition into a permanent, full-time position within one location.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
Picking, packing, and dispatching orders
Carrying out stock checks and inventory control
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
Working across both sites as required during the transition period
Completing tasks independently once trained, using initiative to manage workload effectively
Adhering to all health and safety procedures Skills & Experience
Previous warehouse experience
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach
Good attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable to changing work locations
Counterbalance Forklift License
