We are looking for an AI Engineer to join our team focused on developing AI‑driven solutions and reusable AI agents for manufacturing within an Industry 4.0 environment. In this role, you will design and build intelligent agents that combine machine learning, data‑driven reasoning, and automation to support manufacturing decision‑making and operations.
- Design, develop, and maintain AI agents for manufacturing use cases (e.g. quality inspection, anomaly detection, process optimisation), using machine learning, deep learning, GenAI, rules, and reasoning.
- Build reusable AI components and models that can be deployed across different machines, production lines, and plants, and contribute to scalable, maintainable AI solution architectures.
- Prepare, curate, and validate manufacturing data, and support the full AI lifecycle including training, deployment, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement in pilot and production environments.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering and cross‑functional teams to integrate AI agents into applications and workflows and translate business and manufacturing requirements into AI‑driven solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies to improve performance, explainability, and robustness, and contribute to documentation, best practices, and guidelines for consistent AI adoption.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience developing machine learning solutions using Python and common frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Basic understanding of secure AI development and responsible handling of sensitive data.
- Awareness of GenAI and agent-related risks.
- Familiarity with deep learning techniques for vision, time-series, or text-based applications.
- Experience with GenAI concepts such as embeddings, large language models, or agent-based systems is a strong plus.
- Understanding of the AI lifecycle, including model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data, preferably in industrial or manufacturing contexts.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI services and scalable deployment approaches (e.g. Microsoft Azure).
- Knowledge of APIs and integration of AI capabilities into software platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance innovation with robustness.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- A permanent full-time contract in a sustainable, innovative, and future-oriented company
- A careful onboarding plan, supported by manager and cross functional colleagues
- Diverse, interesting and challenging tasks, opportunities for further development
- Room to contribute with own ideas and space for creativity to achieve your goals
- 30 vacation days per year, flexible time, home office
