Stores Operative
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:45pm, Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm
Prime Appointments are hiring for a Stores Operative to join a well-established engineering company based in Colchester, Essex on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring they meet company quality standards and quantity requirements.
Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks and inventory counts.
Store and organise goods safely within designated warehouse and storage areas.
Use the company's warehouse management system to track and manage inventory.
Report damaged goods, stock discrepancies, or other issues to the management team.
Pick, pack, and label orders ready for dispatch and distribution.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a Stores Operative, or similar role within a logistics distribution and supply chain enviroment
The ability to work on your feet for extended periods and carry out manual handling duties.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
The ability to work independently using your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Basic IT skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
Hours and Pay:
Monday to Friday (37hours per week)
8am-4.45pm with a 1pm finish on Friday.
