Assistant Director - Reward & Recognition (Interim)
Location: West Midlands (minimum 2 days per week)
Duration: 6 months
Day Rate: £700-£800 per day
The Opportunity
We are looking for a senior HR leader to take on the role of Assistant Director - Reward & Recognition, leading the pay, reward, and job evaluation process across a major organisation. This is a pivotal position, responsible for delivering a fair, compliant and sustainable Reward & Recognition strategy, aligned to financial and organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of the organisation-wide Reward & Recognition strategy
Oversee job evaluation, equal pay risk and reward governance frameworks
Provide expert leadership on pay policy, compliance and employment legislation
Lead on complex workforce cost modelling and reward insight
Manage collective bargaining and negotiations with Trade Unions
Drive continuous improvement across reward, compliance and policy
Deputise for the Director of Industrial & Employee Relations as requiredAbout You
Significant senior experience in reward, pay or recognition in a large, complex organisation
Deep knowledge of equal pay, job evaluation and employment law
Strong track record in leading and managing risk in reward frameworks
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience)Why Apply?
