Systems Administrator
Guildford offices (Next to train station) and competitive salary depending on experience
Stratospherec are working with a Guildford based Enterprise Management software company who have thousands of clients across the UK and Europe.
This Systems Administrator is a new position in their growing DevOps team of engineers and this role is integral to the continued success of the TechOps team as a central function that underpins the effective development and running of the ‘software as a service’ that this company supplies to their customers.
We are looking for candidates with 2 years or more commercial DevOps Engineering / Systems Administrator experience ideally in an AWS, Linux, NoSQL environment and with Python, Java or Bash Scripting experience.
DevOps Engineer - Role Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management

Automation: writing automation scripts

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Ansible.

System Reliability & Monitoring
-
Security & Compliance: Integrating security (DevSecOps) into the DevOps lifecycle.

Containerization: Deploying and managing applications.

Cloud Operations & Monitoring: Monitor system performance, uptime, and security.
You will need Skills in some of the following:

Scripting skills - Ideally Python, Bash or similar

Provisioning with Terraform or Cloud Formation

Containerisation with Kubernetes or similar

Monitoring with tools like DataDog, Prometheus or Grafana

Database knowledge - NoSQL DBs - ideally MariaDB or DynamoDB

Linux knowledge - Ubuntu or Centos

Experience working within an agile environment

Knowledge of version control tools - GIT ideally
