The Role
An IT apprenticeship opportunity has emerged for an enthusiastic individual looking for their first step into the IT sector. The candidate will enter our energetic and friendly Deployment team, starting from the ground up, with the chance to be involved in all areas of the business.
This role is based at our HQ in Chertsey, Surrey, with travel to client sites, other Krome sites and occasional weekend work. A local Surrey postcode would be ideal.
Training Course: Information Communications Technician (Level 3)
Course Duration: 1 year 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
• Configuring laptops and PCs at the Krome warehouse
• Installing hardware including laptops, printers, PCs, monitors, servers and racks
• Decommissioning hardware and office equipment
• Project involvement with some of our blue-chip clients
• Requirements
• Full (manual) UK driving licence is essential
• An understanding of IT hardware is an advantage but not essential
• A proactive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
• A punctual and thorough work ethic with strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills (in person and via telephone) – excellent written and spoken English is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Flexibility to support other teams and departments in a fast-paced environment
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (grade 4/C), and IT (preferred but not essential)
• A genuine interest in IT, technology and problem-solving
• No previous commercial experience required
Working hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm or 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday (variable depending on client needs), with 6 hours per week allocated for studying.
