Job Purpose

To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all areas of Blackpool Tower,ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for guests and staff at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily cleaning of all public and staff areas, including:
Exhibition spaces and attractions
Toilets and washroom facilities
Staff areas, offices, and break rooms
Entrances and queuing areas
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures
Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with COSHH regulations
Conduct routine checks throughout shifts to maintain cleanliness standards
Respond promptly to spillages, hazards, or cleaning requests
Dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling practices where applicable
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns to management
Support deep cleaning tasks and periodic cleaning schedules

Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
Use appropriate PPE at all times
Ensure all work is carried out safely without risk to yourself, colleagues, guests and contractors
Maintain a clean and hazard-free working environment
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Basic understanding of cleaning practices
Desirable:
Previous cleaning experience in a visitor attraction, hotel, or similar environment
Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
Working Hours
Flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Health & Safety
Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the company policies and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
