Academics is recruiting for a full-time SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Brighton from September. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated one-to-one support for a child with Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team, you will play a key role in ensuring the pupil receives the tailored support they need to succeed within the classroom environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, either within a school or a related setting
- Be patient, caring, and resilient in their approach
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Be committed to promoting inclusion and supporting individual learning needs
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
