Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 06:30-16:30
Friday: 06:30-12:30
We are currently recruiting for a Sawmill Operative to join a busy and well-established business in Barnstaple.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to build a long-term career within a production environment.
The Role
You will initially be working within the sawmill, supporting day-to-day mill operations and learning the processes involved. For the right person, there is the opportunity to progress into framing work as your skills develop.
Key Responsibilities

Operating machinery within the sawmill

Handling and processing timber

Supporting general production duties

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Working as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements

Previous experience in a sawmill, manufacturing, or similar environment would be beneficial

Hard-working and reliable

Keen to learn and develop new skills

Comfortable with physically demanding work
