Yard Operative

Role
KBM Resourcing are recruiting for a Yard Operative on behalf of a well-established engineering company. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining an organised yard and warehouse environment, supporting the safe movement, storage, and dispatch of equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities

Safely load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment.

Receive and book in deliveries in line with company procedures.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised yard and warehouse.

Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.

Move equipment around the facility and update location records as required.

Tag and label assets accurately.
-
Manage delivery documentation and ensure paperwork is processed correctly.

Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.

Support other operational activities as required, following appropriate training and guidance.
Essential Requirements

Valid UK driving licence.
-
Forklift certificate (B1 & B3 categories).

Previous forklift operating experience.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
-
Experience in a yard, warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.

Mechanical aptitude or interest in engineering equipment.

Basic computer skills.
