💰 £110-£120 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a caring, resilient, and proactive Pastoral Assistant to join a supportive school setting in M30, Salford, providing dedicated pastoral and SEND support to students.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people who may require additional support with their social, emotional, behavioural, or educational needs. The successful candidate will help remove barriers to learning, improve student wellbeing, and support positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role
Providing pastoral and emotional support to students across the school
Supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Building positive and trusting relationships with students
Supporting attendance, engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing
Working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
Assisting students in managing emotions and developing positive coping strategies
Liaising with teaching staff, pastoral teams, SENDCOs, and parents where required
Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
We Are Looking For
Experience working with children or young people is desirable
Knowledge or understanding of SEND and additional learning needs
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Ability to support students through challenging situations
Passion for helping young people succeed academically and personally
