Proactive Personnel are currently looking for several Yard Operatives to start work immediately in Garstang, PR3.
Responsibilities

Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials around the yard

Assist with warehouse management system updates to track inventory movements accurately

Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation in the yard

Participate in shipping and receiving activities, including preparing goods for dispatch or receipt

Load and unload lorries using appropriate manual handling techniques and mechanical equipment
-
Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure safety standards are met

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols

Support construction-related tasks as required, including materials handling on-site

Assist with general yard duties such as sweeping, organising storage areas, and waste disposal
Requirements

Previous warehouse or construction experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks

Valid forklift licence is highly desirable

Mechanical knowledge or background in materials handling is advantageous

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently

Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial

Good organisational skills with attention to detail

Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Strong team player with good communication skills

Willingness to undertake training related to health & safety procedures and equipment operation
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07:00am- 17:00pm.
