Our client, is currently seeking a Stores Operative to join their team on a contract basis. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of their stores and ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly stored.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving, checking, and storing incoming materials and supplies
Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock levels are kept at optimal levels
Issuing materials to the relevant departments as needed
Conducting regular stock checks and reconciling any discrepancies
Ensuring the stores area is kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries as necessary
Communicating effectively with other departments to meet their material requirements
Utilising inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels
Job Requirements:
Relevant experience in a stores or inventory management role within the Defence & Security sector
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in using inventory management systems
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Physical capability to handle and move stock and supplies
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to stores management
