Number of Positions Available: 1
Annual Salary: £29,900 FTE
Working Pattern: Night Shift (Approx. 2 shifts per week), Days when needed
About the Role:
As a Night Shift Marine Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of all marine activities within the Port of Blyth. Reporting directly to the Harbour Master, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team, working on a 5-person rota within a 12-hour watch-keeping system. Your ability to stay calm and professional during operations will be essential, along with your excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee marine operations to ensure safety and compliance.
Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
Assist with navigation and port operations.
Maintain a professional demeanor during all activities.
Who We're Looking For:
Previous experience in marine navigation or port operations is desirable, but candidates from related fields with the necessary skills and experience are also encouraged to apply.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
