Trainee Drainage Operatives – Brentford
My client is currently looking to recruit Trainee Drainage Operatives to join their growing team in Brentford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career within the water and drainage industry, with full training and progression provided.
The role is field-based and hands-on, working within two-person teams on drainage and sewer network projects using specialist equipment and technology. No previous drainage experience is required — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
• Installing and setting up monitoring equipment within drainage and sewer systems
• Assisting with site preparation and ensuring work areas are safe and organised
• Carrying out equipment checks, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
• Recording site data and updating digital systems accurately
• Supporting the delivery of drainage and infrastructure projects
• Working safely in outdoor environments, confined spaces, and at height where required
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site
Requirements:
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic IT, reading, and writing ability
• Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
