SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join their hardworking and friendly team, working to support special needs children Age 3-19 years covering a whole range of complex needs including ASD, SLD, PMLD and challenging behaviour.
Information about the School
The school is a specialist setting catering for pupils aged 3-19 who have severe and complex Learning Needs (SLD/PMLD). OThe school ocuses on a pupil’s immediate learning needs and long-term aspirations and creatively explores ways to remove barriers to engagement and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
Assist in managing behaviour in a positive, structured manner
Support the development of communication, social, and independence skills
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
Monitor and record student progress
Requirements
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
