Madison Reign is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive secondary school in Watford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams to provide tailored support that helps students thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND and SEMH needs
✔ Support students inside and outside of the classroom
✔ Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
✔ Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence
✔ Work closely with teachers to adapt learning activities where needed
✔ Support students with emotional regulation and wellbeing
✔ Assist with safeguarding and pastoral support responsibilities
✔ Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
Requirements:
✔ Previous experience working with children or young people
✔ Experience supporting SEND or SEMH needs desirable
✔ Calm, patient and resilient approach
✔ Strong communication and behaviour management skills
✔ Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
✔ Ability to build positive and professional relationships
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service desirable
