Pay: £95-£115 per day

A friendly and well-established primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team after May half term.
This Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 who require additional academic and pastoral support within the classroom. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to help pupils remain engaged, develop confidence and make steady progress throughout the school day.
The school has a strong community feel and is known for its inclusive approach, positive behaviour culture and supportive staff team. Support staff are fully involved in planning and intervention work, and leadership places a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional development.
Key responsibilities for the Learning Support Assistant include:
Providing targeted classroom support for pupils with additional needs
Delivering small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
Supporting behaviour, engagement and classroom routines
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning activitiesThe ideal Learning Support Assistant will:
Have experience working within a primary school setting
Be patient, proactive and adaptable
Work effectively as part of a team
Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
Be committed to supporting pupil progress and wellbeingExperience supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH needs would be beneficial.
