We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufactuing Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing and finishing components to a high standard, ensuring parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements before progressing through production.

The successful candidate will have experience working with engineered components and be confident using a range of hand tools, measuring equipment, and finishing techniques within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out finishing and preparation work on machined metal components
Remove excess material, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using hand and power tools
Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
Inspect components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
Use measuring equipment
Work closely with machining and quality teams to maintain production standards
Ensure all work is completed within required timescales
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Follow all health & safety and company quality procedures

Skills & Experience

Previous experience within a manufacturing, finishing, or component preparation role
Experience working within engineering or precision manufacturing environments
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude
