We’re currently supporting a fantastic business in the search for an Assistant Estimator to join their growing team, working for a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation across the Midlands construction market.
The business continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors and due to continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction team with the addition of an Assistant Estimator.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions

Support quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models

Gather and analyse data relating to labour, materials, and equipment costs

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations

Help maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information

Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Design teams throughout the pre-construction process

Attend site visits and internal meetings where required

Prepare reports and cost summaries for senior management

Support value engineering and risk assessment exercises

About You
-
Degree, qualification, or training in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline

Previous construction experience, placement, or internship beneficial

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Motivated, proactive, and eager to develop within estimating and pre-construction
