Technical Administrator

A well-established professional consultancy is looking to appoint a Technical Administrator to join its busy team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys supporting technical professionals in a fast-paced, project-led environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, providing administrative support across a specialist technical division and helping projects progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.
Key responsibilities
Providing day-to-day administrative support to a team of technical specialists
Producing and formatting documentation, reports and correspondence, including a high volume of audio typing
Managing incoming and outgoing project communications, ensuring information is accurately logged and distributed
Monitoring project timelines and following up with internal teams to maintain service level agreements
Coordinating appointments, site visits and diary schedules
Maintaining internal systems and updating project records
Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally, ensuring a high standard of client service
Organising project files, documentation and supporting paperwork
Assisting senior members of the administration team with wider operational tasks
About you
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple tasks in a busy office environment. You’ll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, with a strong eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
Applicants should ideally have:
Previous experience in an administrative or team support role
Strong typing skills, including experience transcribing audio
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience managing workloads across multiple stakeholders
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
A professional and customer-focused approach
The ability to work accurately under time-sensitive deadlines
