Logistics & Customer Service Operator
Location: Durham
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9-hour shifts between 8:00am – 7:00pm
Jackson Hogg are delighted to be partnering with a growing Warehouse & Transport solutions business in Durham as they look to appoint a Logistics & Customer Service Operator.
This is a key role sitting at the heart of the transport operation, acting as the central point of coordination between customers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless delivery performance and excellent service levels.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding deliveries, collections, and transport updates

Manage and resolve transport-related issues, including delays, failed deliveries, POD queries, and routing discrepancies

Liaise closely with transport planners, drivers, and warehouse teams to track shipments and ensure on-time delivery

Maintain accurate records and provide clear communication across all stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience within transport/logistics customer service or a background as a Transport Administrator

Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external customers

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service
