About The Role:
Continued growth of our business provides several career opportunities within the organisation. We are now seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Claims team on a full-time basis at our head office in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will report to the Solicitor Claims Manager and will be responsible for a varied caseload of claims involving our vast tank container and vehicle fleet. The position available is a busy, challenging role and requires a high level of commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a large and varied caseload, from inception to conclusion, in compliance with the Company's Claims Handling Procedure.
- Liaising with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to obtain all relevant documentation in support of claims within designated areas.
- Reviewing available information to make an informed decision on liability.
- General debt recovery - both domestic and international. Managing own caseload and liaising with third parties as required.
About you:
Core Skills/Attributes:
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple claims efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and support individuals within the Claims Department and correspond effectively with colleagues and third parties domestically and internationally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Good time management
Desired experience:
- Previous experience within a Paralegal/claims handling role or within the shipping/transportation or freight forwarding industry is advantageous but not essential.
