Location: Nottingham (3 days office / 2 days WFH)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a busy Commercial Finance team based in Nottingham. This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to further develop their accounting knowledge.
You’ll support the team with month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting activities, and general finance administration.

Key Responsibilities: Finance Assistant
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Perform balance sheet and accounts reconciliations
Support month‑end and year‑end close activities
Assist with journals
Support the preparation of Apple Claims
Assist with audit requests and documentation
Respond to internal and external finance queries
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Provide general finance and administrative support as required
What We’re Looking For: Finance Assistant
Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
Good understanding of accounting principles
Strong Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Experience with D365 or similar accounting software is advantageous
Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial
