Working for this well-established distributor as a Trade Counter Assistant, you’ll provide day-day support across the trade counter and branch, ensuring customer requests are fulfilled and satisfaction is kept high.
Salary – Up to £26,500 Per Annum + Callout Bonus + Benefits
Located in Southampton and commutable from Eastleigh, Totton, Hedge End, Chandlers Ford, Nursling and Romsey this is a full time, permanent role with a growing nationwide business that values teamwork, reliability and delivering great service every day.
What will you be doing in a typical day?
Providing day-to-day support across the trade counter and branch, working as part of a reliable, team-focused environment
Handling customer enquiries by phone and email, using clear and confident communication skills
Preparing picking slips and working closely with the warehouse team to process orders accurately and efficiently, with strong attention to detail
Serving customers at the trade counter, supplying parts and helping to maintain accurate stock levels
Supporting occasional local deliveries when required, so a full valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
The call out requirement is rare but does require your availability over the weekend and bank holidays if it falls on those days. This is on a 5 week rota basis and a bonus is payable for each callout. A FLT licence would be also be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
