More about the role
As an Infrastructure Lead, you'll be right at the heart of delivering high‑quality infrastructure projects that really make a difference. From digital connectivity and energy capacity through to permits, wayleaves and easements, you'll coordinate projects end to end and make sure everything runs smoothly, safely and to a consistently high standard.
You'll work closely with a wide range of internal teams and external partners, including utility, fibre and telecom providers, making sure everyone is aligned and customer expectations are not just met, but exceeded. Clear communication will be key, whether that's managing stakeholders, overseeing contractors, or keeping projects on track through detailed monitoring, reporting and forecasting.
This role is all about balance – managing risk, quality, timescales and finances while always looking for smarter ways to work. You'll spot opportunities for improvement, lead initiatives that drive performance, and help maximise income, all while ensuring legal, regulatory and health and safety obligations are fully met.
More about you
You're someone who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a role where no two days are the same. You're organised, proactive and comfortable working with a wide range of people, often juggling priorities and negotiating solutions along the way. You're happy being agile, confident working independently, and flexible when the role calls for it.
You'll be educated to degree level or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant experience that shows you can operate confidently at this level. Most of all, you'll care about doing the right thing — for customers, colleagues and the communities.
Essential criteria
You'll bring solid knowledge of legislation relevant to the infrastructure and construction world, including the telecommunications code, wayleaves, easements, leases, permits to work and CDM 2015. A strong understanding of project management processes is essential, along with the confidence to manage complex projects and solve problems as they arise.
You'll be comfortable analysing information, managing budgets and programmes, and applying value‑for‑money principles to ensure resources are used effectively. Just as importantly, you'll have a genuine commitment to customer involvement, consultation and open communication, knowing that strong relationships are key to successful delivery.
Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term position.
