The Purchasing Administrator position is working for a manufacturing company in Andover on a short term contract, guaranteed to last until October with the possibility of extension. The role is paying up to £26,450. It is a full time, on site position.
As the Purchasing Assistant, you’ll support the wider procurement team in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials, goods and services within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. Working closely with Buyers and the Senior Buyer, you will help maintain smooth supply chain operations by monitoring open purchase orders, identifying overdue or unacknowledged orders, and expediting deliveries to ensure supplier commitments are met. You will play a key role in supporting production demand by assisting with the placement of orders from approved suppliers to cover shortages and maintain continuity of supply. The role also involves close liaison with internal departments such as Planning and Stores to respond to changing requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules. In addition, you will contribute to maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting day-to-day problem solving within the supply chain.
You will need:
· Strong administrative experience
· Experience within a purchasing role is advantageous
· To be IT and Computer Literate, confident with Microsoft Office
· Strong organisation and attention to detail
· To be able to commute to Andover for start times
