Location: Tower Hamlets (near Canning Town / Langdon Park)
Start Date: 5th May 2026
Contract: Full-time | Summer Term (potential to extend)
Pay: £95-£110 per day

The Role & School
A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the Canning Town area is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant from 5th May 2026.
This role is centred around supporting a Year 5 class, working with a small group of pupils who need additional help with core subjects. The focus will be on improving confidence in reading comprehension, written work and maths reasoning, alongside supporting pupils' organisation and focus in lessons.
The school has a strong reputation for pastoral care and inclusion. There is a clear behaviour policy in place, and staff work closely as a team to ensure consistency across classes. Support staff are actively involved in planning interventions and are valued as key members of the classroom.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting targeted pupils during lessons
Running small group booster sessions in English and maths
Helping pupils stay focused and engaged with learning
Reinforcing classroom routines and expectations
Liaising with the class teacher on pupil progress

Has experience working with primary-aged pupils
Is confident supporting KS2 learning
Can lead small group sessions independently
Is calm, adaptable and positive in approach
