The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a confident and organised Administrator to join a well-established Apprenticeship training provider at their Burgess Hill centre. This permanent role sits within a supportive Apprenticeships Team and reports to the Apprenticeships Manager. The Administrator will play a key role in supporting learners and employers, acting as a first point of contact and ensuring high standards of administration, communication, and customer service throughout the apprenticeship journey.
Provide general administrative support to the Apprenticeships Team, including filing, scanning, data entry, and document management
Maintain accurate learner records across internal systems in line with data protection and audit requirements
Prepare and distribute learner documentation such as enrolment paperwork, progress reviews, and completion certificates
Communicate confidently with learners, employers, and colleagues both face to face and over the phone
Welcome learners and visitors to the centre and support induction and training day arrangements
Coordinate reviews, assessments, and related documentation
Monitor attendance and update registers and systems accurately
Liaise with tutors, assessors, and employers to ensure records are kept up to date
Support learner engagement activities and assist with events and reviews
Provide general office and administrative support to the wider team as required
Requirements
Applicants will have previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or office-based role and will be confident communicating with a wide range of people both face to face and over the phone. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload are essential. A professional, friendly, and approachable manner is key, along with good IT skills and confidence using standard office systems. A background in education, training, or apprenticeships is useful but by no means essential. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service are essential.
This role could suit someone who has worked as an Administrator, Office Administrator, or Customer Support Administrator.
