Pay Rate: £13.17ph
Hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
About the Role
Pertemps is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our Logistics team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across the business.
You will be responsible for a variety of warehouse duties including goods handling, packing, stock control, and preparing products for dispatch. This role is essential in maintaining a high-quality, efficient service for our clients while upholding excellent safety standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Safely load and unload deliveries, supporting the efficient flow of goods
Prepare items for dispatch, including packaging, labelling, and organising shipments
Receive, check, store, and manage incoming stock accurate
Inspect deliveries to ensure correct quantity, quality, and type
Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure tools are kept in good working order
Accurately label stock for effective tracking and control
Prepare courier shipments to meet deadlines
Support stock transfers across different sites
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Store stock in line with company safety procedures
Use handling equipment such as pallet trucks, sack trucks, and cylinder trucks
Keep records up to date using internal systems and spreadsheets
Prepare gas cylinders for customer use, including cleaning and painting
Work closely with Production teams to manage stock levels and bookingKey Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environments
Forklift Truck (FLT) licence desirable
Basic computer skills and confidence using email and systems
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and manage stock counts
Understanding of manual handling practices
Good communication skills with both internal teams and external contactsWhat We’re Looking For
