Clinical Administrator (Part Time - 22.5 hours per week)
Princess Alice Hospice is a charity dedicated to supporting people through life, death and grief across Kingston, Richmond and large parts of Surrey. Our clinical teams play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high‑quality care, and we’re looking for a part‑time Clinical Administrator to support our busy multidisciplinary teams.
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your administrative and communication skills in a role where you can see the difference you make every day. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team committed to putting patients, families and carers at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
Working three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday, with flexibility to cover annual leave), this office‑based role provides essential administrative support to our clinical services. You’ll be heavily involved in the day‑to‑day coordination of patient‑related administration and will act as a key point of contact for patients, families and carers.
You’ll liaise regularly with colleagues across the hospice, manage urgent information sensitively and accurately, and remain calm and professional in what can be fast‑paced and demanding situations. Strong organisation, clear communication and excellent attention to detail are essential.
About you
You’ll bring a confident and compassionate phone manner, accurate typing skills and experience using IT systems, including MS Office. Previous administrative or secretarial experience is desirable, particularly in a busy environment.
Most importantly, you’ll be comfortable communicating with a wide range of people in a thoughtful, empathetic way and be motivated by making a meaningful contribution to others.
What we offer
In return, you’ll join an organisation that truly values its people. Benefits include:
- 27 days’ annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata), rising with long service
- Ongoing learning and development, supported by our on‑site Education Team
- Monthly Schwartz Rounds for reflection and wellbeing
- Tranquil hospice grounds and subsidised on‑site meals
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Blue Light Card discounts
- Group pension scheme
- A wide‑ranging wellbeing programme to support a healthy work–life balance
If you’re organised, compassionate and looking for a role with real purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
