If you’re working in practice and feel like your progression has stalled, this could be the move that changes that.
I’m working with a long-established and highly regarded accountancy firm that is continuing to evolve, with an increased focus on clear progression pathways and supporting career development.
This role offers more than the typical Accounts Assistant position. It’s a chance to join a business that’s evolving.
This opportunity offers the rare balance of stability and progression within a well-established firm that continues to invest in its future. You’ll benefit from clear career development, meaningful client exposure and the chance to take real ownership of your work, all within a collaborative, down-to-earth environment that values quality over long hours.
With a strong and growing client base built on long-standing relationships, alongside a forward-thinking approach to systems and service delivery, the firm provides a platform for ambitious individuals to develop their skills, gain exposure to more commercially focused work, and build a long-term career.
Key responsibilities:
Preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts, and associated financial reporting for a varied client portfolio
Ensuring all work is completed in line with current accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Supporting clients with broader commercial matters, gaining exposure to more advisory-led work as you develop
Contributing to the continued development and adoption of cloud-based accounting solutions across the client base
Liaising with HMRC, clients, and internal teams to support efficient workflow and timely delivery
Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes and improve overall service delivery
You’ll bring:
Experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
A strong technical grounding in core accounting principles
The ability to prioritise workloads and consistently meet deadlines
Confidence in managing client interactions and handling queries effectively
Proficiency with accounting systems and a solid working knowledge of Excel
A collaborative, team-oriented approach
