A well‑established organisation in Leeds is looking for a dependable and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable / Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with solid transactional finance experience who enjoys a varied workload and a supportive team environment.
The Role
You will support the smooth running of daily finance operations, with responsibilities including:
Maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers, including processing employee expenses
Completing vendor and customer account reconciliations
Performing bank reconciliations
Preparing and setting up payment runs
Handling internal and external stakeholder queries
Assisting with external audit requirements
Supporting ad‑hoc analysis, reporting, and project work as required by the leadership teamAbout YouWe're looking for someone who brings:
Experience in accounts payable, finance administration, or similar transactional finance roles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Competence with finance systems and ExcelWorking Pattern
Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the Leeds office
Suitable for candidates living within a commutable distance of Leeds, including Bradford, Wakefield, Harrogate, York, Huddersfield, and surrounding areas
