Job Title: Medical Secretary

Contract: 3 Month Cover (Potentially Longer)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday

This is a full-time position with an initial contract of three months, with the potential for extension based on performance and organisational needs. Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to medical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the practise.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with GDPR regulations.
Prepare and process medical documents, correspondence, and reports in a timely manner.
Liaise with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate effective communication.
Assist in the management of billing and insurance claims as required.
Uphold professional standards of communication and service at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanour.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
