Job Title: Diving and Maritime Assistant Supervisor
Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth
Service Area: Asset Management, Diving Services
Hours of Work: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30-17:15
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
What you'll be doing:
We’re looking for an Assistant Dive Supervisor to support and occasionally step up into the Dive Supervisor role.

You’ll play a key part in delivering reactive and planned diving and maritime operations across Portsmouth, ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and to the highest standards.

This is a role for someone who’s hands-on, safety‑driven, and eager to lead when required — whether that’s overseeing a dive, coordinating documentation, or supporting the wider diving team.

About you:

A valid First Aid at Work certificate
-
An in‑date ADC Supervisor Certificate
-
A strong understanding of the Diving at Work Regulations 1997, ACoP L104, and HSEG 3003

Competence in writing and reviewing dive documentation

HSE‑approved Surface Supplied certification (minimum)

Experience with underwater husbandry and civil engineering techniques

Medical fitness to undertake commercial diving duties

Good working knowledge of MS Office

Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance

Full UK driving licence
