Got People is currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver / Refuse Driver to join our well-established client based in Hemel Hempstead.
This role involves operating a Class 2 refuse vehicle (dustcart) and supporting the loader team as required during collections. It presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver seeking consistent, ongoing work with competitive remuneration.
Key Responsibilities
Operating a HGV Class 2 dustcart / refuse collection vehicle
Completing scheduled waste and recycling collection routes
Assisting loaders with collections when necessary
Ensuring collections are conducted safely and efficiently
Complying with transport regulations and health & safety procedures
Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver position, candidates must possess:
At least 12 months’ recent HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving experience
Experience with dustcart or refuse vehicles preferred (training can be provided)
Valid UK Driving Licence (Category C)
Driver CPC qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points (no DR or IN endorsements)
Willingness and ability to assist with loading as required
Reliable, adaptable, and safety conscious
Pay & Benefits
Monday to Friday: £18.00 – £22.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Saturday: Weekend uplift available
Ongoing assignments
Immediate start available
Personal protective equipment provided if required (high-visibility clothing, ballistic trousers, safety boots)
