Search are currently working with a insurance business based in York who are looking for a Account Handler to join their business to develop into a Account Executive. This role will offer training toward CII certification and ongoing training and support.
Job Duties:
Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for assigned clients, building strong and trusted relationships
Support Account Executives with new business, renewals, and mid‑term adjustments (MTAs)
Prepare and issue documentation including quotes, presentations, policy schedules, endorsements, and certificates
Liaise with insurers, underwriters, and suppliers to negotiate terms and secure competitive cover
Accurately process premium calculations, cover notes, and invoicing
Ensure all client records are kept up to date on the broking system
Handle client queries promptly and professionally, resolving issues efficiently
Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, company procedures, and Treating Customers Fairly principles
Assist in identifying cross‑selling and up‑selling opportunities where appropriate
Support the wider broking team to ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently met
Successful candidate will possess:
Previous experience within a Account Handler role prior (desirable)
Attention to detail
Work to timed deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft
