SEN Learning Support Assistant | 1:1 | Year 1/2 – Carlisle
Humly is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 27/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This role would suit a patient and dedicated individual who enjoys working 1:1 with pupils and can provide consistent, tailored support to help a child with additional needs thrive within a Year 1/2 setting.
What You’ll Be Doing

Support a pupil on a 1:1 basis with their learning and development

Adapt classroom activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs

Build a strong, positive relationship to support engagement and confidence

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

Encourage participation in lessons and social interaction with peers
What You’ll Bring

Experience working with children with additional needs, ideally in a primary setting

A patient, nurturing approach with strong interpersonal skills

Confidence supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis

Good understanding of behaviour management strategies

Ability to work consistently as part of a wider classroom team
Pay
£15.46 per hour
