Clover Talent are representing a growing insurance brokerage in Manchester, looking to appoint a Commercial Insurance Account Handler to support their commercial team.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with around two years’ broking experience who has been exposed to commercial insurance and wants to build a long‑term career in account management. You’ll be working with smaller commercial accounts, supported closely by senior team members, with clear progression into a senior role over time.
The Role:
You’ll support the day‑to‑day servicing of commercial insurance accounts, assisting with policy administration and client servicing while developing your technical knowledge and confidence.
This is a development‑focused role with plenty of support and structure in place.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the handling of commercial insurance policies, including new business administration, mid‑term adjustments and renewals

Preparing and updating market documentation and insurer submissions

Supporting Account Executives and Senior Brokers with account administration

Handling routine enquiries from clients, insurers and third parties, escalating where required

Maintaining accurate records on Acturis, including diary management, documentation chasing and renewal terms

Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA and internal processes
Requirements:

Around 2 years’ experience in an insurance broking or account handling role

Some exposure to commercial insurance (full technical knowledge not required)

Experience supporting renewals, MTAs or general policy administration

Comfortable working in an account‑support role with guidance from senior colleagues

Organised, reliable and keen to learn

Acturis experience is essential
