A well-respected and established company based in Hemel Hempstead are looking for a Part Time Accounts Assistant.
This role is on a part time basis Wednesday to Friday from 9am - 3pm, however, for training purposes you will need them to work Monday to Wednesday so you can be trained for the usual days Wednesday - Friday. The period of training will be approx. 4-5 months so we need someone who can be flexible with the days.
This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping skills and practical experience in accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of supplier transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records

Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate coding

Manage purchase order processing, including matching, checking, and reconciliation

Assist with accounts payable duties, including compiling supplier payment runs and supplier queries

Maintain organised and up-to-date financial documentation

Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks
What the employer is looking for:

AAT Level 2 qualification is essential (or equivalent qualification/experience)

Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role

Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes

Experience with supplier invoicing and purchase order systems

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Good organisational and time management skills

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
