Assembly Operative (Part‑Time)
📍 Location: HU2
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm (20 hours per week)
⏱️ Flexibility: Additional hours available when required
💷 Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Part‑Time Assembly Operative to join a busy and well‑established manufacturing team based in HU2. This role is ideal for someone reliable, detail‑focused, and comfortable working with measurements and figures in a hands‑on production environment.
You will be working 20 hours per week on an afternoon shift, with the flexibility to increase hours when production demands require it. Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Assembling components accurately in line with production specifications
Measuring and calculating dimensions to ensure products meet required standards
Supporting day‑to‑day production and assembly activities
Handling materials and using hand tools safely (training provided)
Working efficiently to meet quality and output targets
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working area
Following standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines
Requirements
Good numeracy skills, with the ability to calculate and work with measurements accurately
Previous assembly or production experience preferred, but not essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Flexible approach, with availability to work additional hours when required
Willingness to learn and support other production areas as needed
