To operate shot blasting equipment to clean, prepare, and finish metal components within a heavy engineering environment. The role ensures products meet required quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working area. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities

Operate shot blasting machinery in accordance with training and safety procedures

Load and unload components safely into blasting equipment

Prepare surfaces of metal parts by removing rust, scale, or contaminants

Conduct visual inspections to ensure required finish and quality standards are met

Monitor equipment performance and report any faults or issues

Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery

Handle materials and components safely and efficiently

Maintain a clean and organised working environment

Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions

Work collaboratively with team members and other departments

Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures and site policies

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and eye protection where required
