Job Title: Assistant Welder – Training Bootcamp

About the Role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Welder Training Bootcamp, offering a structured entry route into the rail welding industry. This opportunity is open to all applicants, with no previous rail or welding experience required.
Successful candidates will complete industry‑recognised training and gain Assistant Welder (ASST WELD) accreditation, with excellent long‑term career progression within our welding offices in Doncaster, Tonbridge and Cwmbran.
What the Training Includes
ASST WELD accreditation
Assisting an Aluminothermic Welder to the required standard
Oxy‑fuel gas cutting and burning
Rail Pre‑Requisites Included
Drug and Alcohol Test (D&A)
Medical
Personal Track Safety (PTS)
Track Induction Course (TIC)
Who We’re Looking For
Individuals seeking a long‑term career in rail welding
Willingness to learn and work in a safety‑critical environment
Reliable, motivated, and able to work as part of a team
Full Driving Licence
Must live within one hour of either office
Career Progression
Grinding and weld finishing
Inspection activities
