Skilled Production Operative
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 DOE
Hours: Monday - Friday, flexible working hours with an early finish on Fridays
Hours per week: 39
Overtime: Available at enhanced rates
Location: Close to Maidstone
We are recruiting for a well‑established, successful, and growing organisation based close to Maidstone. This is a rare opportunity for a Skilled Production Operative to join the team and learn the business from the ground up, with full training and development provided to help you learn a skilled trade.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment and has a genuine interest in engineering or production processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operating machinery within the production environment
Assembly of products
Supporting colleagues with a variety of production tasks
Manual handling of materials and components
Packing and dispatch of finished goods
Updating customer orders on the system
Disposing of recycling and waste products correctly
Learning new skills and manufacturing processes
Working safely and following all health & safety procedures
Requirements
Eagerness to learn new techniques and machinery
Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
Experience using hand tools and/or machinery
Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
Interest in engineering or manufacturing processes
