HR Assistant

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a busy HR department. Reporting to the Head of HR and Culture via the Deputy HR Manager, the role involves providing high-quality administrative and operational support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, reporting and general employee relations. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering an efficient, confidential HR service.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced HR or administrative environment, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities while handling sensitive personal data appropriately. You will have excellent IT skills, including spreadsheets, databases and word processing, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. Essential qualifications include GCSEs (Grade 4 or above) in Maths and English and a relevant business or HR qualification, ideally at Level 3 (or willingness to work towards). A good understanding of employment law, strong organisational skills and a professional, customer-focused approach are also key.
