Food Production Operative (Ambient Environment)
Location: Near Takeley
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role
We're looking for reliable Food Production Operatives to join a growing food manufacturing site supplying major retailers. You'll be working in an ambient‑temperature production area, carrying out a mix of packing, line work, and general production duties. The role offers consistent daytime hours, long‑term stability, and a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Working on a busy production line handling food products
Packing, sorting and labelling items to required standards
Carrying out simple quality and visual checks
Assisting with loading and unloading materials
Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times
Performing light to moderate lifting during the shift
Working Environment
This is a food production setting and there is a noticeable smell similar to a butcher's environment, along with stronger aromas of spices and seasoning due to the food being prepared on site. This is normal for the role and applicants should be comfortable working in this type of environment.

Good attention to detail
Previous production or warehouse experience is helpful but not essential
Own transport is highly advantageous due to the rural locationIdeal nearby areas include:
Hatfield Broad Oak, Great Dunmow, Great Canfield, Hatfield Heath, White Roding, Braintree, Bishop's Stortford and Stansted.
There is also a bus route available from Bishop's Stortford.
