We are recruiting for our client based in Ashford Surrey for a permanent Warehouse Operative. This is a varied role involving loading and unloading vehicles, picking and packing orders, and carrying out a range of general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Working 4 on 4 off
2 x early 5am to 5pm
2 x late 9am to 9pm
Salary: £26k - £27k per annum DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation:

Safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse.

Carry out daily equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Ensure all stock is stored correctly and handled in line with company procedures.

Loading and Unloading:
-
Unload deliveries and load outbound vehicles, ensuring all goods are checked, handled carefully, and recorded accurately.

Verify delivery notes and ensure all documentation matches physical stock.

Picking and Packing:
-
Pick, pack, and prepare orders according to customer specifications.

Ensure all items are packed securely and labelled correctly for dispatch.

Assist with preparing goods for shipment and maintaining accurate records of stock movement.
General Warehouse Duties:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.

Support stock control, rotation, and inventory checks as required.

Follow company health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.

Work collaboratively with the wider team to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Skills and Experience Required:

You will need to have a 5 year checkable history
-
Counterbalance forklift licence
-
Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team.
