Machine / Production Operatives
Location: Clevedon
Contract: Initially 6 months (long-term opportunity / potential to go permanent)
Pay: £14.65ph + 17% shift allowance + holiday + pension.
Shifts: Rotating
Monday to Thursday: 05:50-14:00 & 13:50-22:00
Fridays: 05:50-11:20 & 11:10-16:40 – EARLY FRIDAY FINISH!
This exciting role is working for global engineering company with numerous sites in the UK. It’s a hands-on role within a busy engineering production environment, supporting the manufacture of precision components. You will be operating machinery, carrying out quality checks, and ensuring production runs safely, smoothly, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Operating engineering machinery including CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, and polishing equipment

Reading and working from engineering drawings and process instructions

Setting up machines and tooling where required

Carrying out quality checks and basic measurements

Working to production targets and deadlines

Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with 5S standards

Following all health & safety procedures at all times
About You
We are looking for practical, reliable individuals with a background in engineering or manufacturing.
Essential:
-
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Ability to read engineering drawings
-
Good mechanical understanding and hands-on ability

Strong attention to detail and quality focus

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Desirable:
-
CNC machine operation or setting experience
-
Manual machining experience (lathe/milling)

Polishing or finishing experience
-
Engineering qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship)
