Laboratory Assistant - Quality Control & Development
Chorley | Temporary to Permanent | Modern Laboratory Environment
I'm recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and highly respected market leader based in Chorley, who are looking to add a Laboratory Assistant to their growing technical team.
This is an interesting, hands‑on role combining routine quality control testing with development and customer solutions work in a busy, modern materials testing lab. You'll be part of a great team, working with a wide range of materials and analytical equipment.
The Role:
Routine QC testing of materials and batches
Use of DSC and GC equipment (DSC experience highly advantageous)
Viscosity testing, dimensional checks (e.g. tubes) and physical property testing
Supporting development trials and investigations to resolve quality or customer queries
Operating and maintaining lab machinery and equipment
Recording and reporting test results in line with quality standards
What They're Looking For:
Prior experience in a laboratory, QC or materials testing environment
Hands‑on, practical approach with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑throughput lab
Experience with DSC, GC or similar analytical techniques is desirable
